Glittering Performance by RESONites in CS-foundation Dec-2017

Students of Resonance Commerce & Law Program Division (CLPD) Kota, Jaipur & Indore Centres Performed exceptionally well in CS-foundation December-2017 results, declared by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on 21st February, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

ICSI Declared 25 All INDIA Provisional Merit List in which 18 RESONITEs secured among 25 merit list RESONITE QASIM SAIF secured AIR-1 with 372 marks & Khushi Khurana Secured AIR-2 with 368 marks along with AIR-7,8,11,13,14,15,16,18,19,20,23 secured by the RESONite.

Total 102 Students from Resonance CLPD got selected in the exam, of which, 59 students were from Indore Centre, and 29 students were from Kota Study Centre & 14 students were from Jaipur Centre.

ICSI has released CS Exams (Foundation, Executive & Professional) Time Table for Dec-2016 Exams. ICSI Conducts CS Exams twice in a year i.e. in the month of June and December.

CS-FOUNDATION TIME TABLE FOR Dec-2016 EXAM

CS-Foundation exam is a gateway to enter into the profession of Company Secretary. To clear CS-Foundation exam, a candidate needs to score minimum 40% in each individual section and minimum 50% Aggregate in all sections. CS-Foundation exam comprises of 4 papers of 100 marks each which is conducted in 2 days (2 papers in 1 day).

ICSI conducts CS-Foundation exam in ONLINE MODE twice in a year i.e. in the month of June and December. CS Foundation Dec-2016 Exam will be conducted on 3rd Dec. and 4th Dec’ 2016.

CS Executive is the Second Stage of the professional Exam of Company Secretaries. To clear CS Executive Exam, a candidate needs to score minimum 40% in Each Individual Paper and Minimum 50% Aggregate in all Papers of the Group.

ICSI conducts CS Executive Exam in OFFLINE MODE (Paper pencil Mode) twice in a year i.e. in the month of June and December. CS Executive Dec-2016 Exam will be from 21st Dec till 28th Dec’ 2016.

CS FOUNDATION JUNE-2016 RESULT DATE

CS-Foundation exam is a gateway to enter into the profession of Company Secretary. To clear CS-Foundation exam, a candidate needs to score minimum 40% in each individual section and minimum 50% Aggregate in all sections. CS-Foundation exam comprises of 4 papers of 100 marks each which is conducted in 2 days (2 papers in 1 day).

ICSI conducts CS-Foundation exam in Online Mode twice in a year i.e. in the month of June and December. ICSI had recently conducted CS-Foundation (June-2016) exam on 4th and 5th June, 2016.

As per the Notification from ICSI, The result of CS-Foundation exam held in June-2016 will be declared on WEDNESDAY, 29th JUNE, 2016 at around 11.30 A.M. and result can be checked on icsi.examresults.net.

The result along with individual candidate’s subject-wise break-up of marks will be available on the Institute’s website: www.icsi.edu.

To check CS Foundation June 2016 Result, You need your CS Foundation admit card for your Roll No. It may be noted that for accessing the result at the above website i.e. icsi.examresults.net, the student shall have to enter his Roll No. of CS Foundation Exam.

ICSI had recently conducted CS EXECUTIVE Exam in the month of June 2016 from 1-Jun-2016 to 9-Jun-2016. CS Executive is the Second Stage of the professional Exam of Company Secretaries. To clear CS Executive Exam, a candidate needs to score minimum 40% in Each Individual Paper and Minimum 50% Aggregate in all Papers of the Group.

ICSI conducts CS Executive Exam in Offline Mode (Paper pencil Mode) twice in a year i.e. in the month of June and December. CS Executive Group II consists of 3 Papers :

  • Paper 5 : Company Accounts and Auditing Practices,
  • Paper 6 : Capital Markets and Securities Laws, and
  • Paper 7 : Industrial, Labour and General Laws

Paper Pattern of CS Executive Group-I are as follows:-

  • Industrial, Labour and General Laws are OMR Based Exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 Mark each to be done in 3 Hours Each.
  • In OMR Based Exams, there is Negative Marking in the ratio of 1: 4, i.e. deduction of one (1) mark for every four (4) wrong answers.
  • Remaining 2 Papers – Company Accounts & Auditing Practices and Capital Markets & Securities Laws would continue to be examined through Descriptive Pattern.

Company Accounts and Auditing Practices is the 1st Paper of Group-II and Paper-5 of CS Executive Level. It is an Subjective / Descriptive Type Question Paper consists of 6 Questions (some have Options) to be done in 3 Hours.

This Paper majorly Consists of 6 questions which is divided into 27 sub-parts. Student have to attempt all 6 questions. If we consider Question Paper into 27 sub-parts, then as per our analysis, 14 questions were of EASY and 9 questions were of MODERATE and 4 Questions were of DIFFICULT Level. It will get more clear from the below given Chart:

As per our Analysis, 71 Questions were of EASY, 24 Questions were of MODERATE and 5 Questions were of DIFFICULT Level. As All Questions Carry Equal Marks, so below given Chart will explain Question-Wise & Marks-Wise Difficulty Breakup of the Paper:

Company Law is the 1st Paper of Group-I of CS Executive Level. It is an Subjective / Descriptive Type Question Paper consists of 6 Questions (some have Options) to be done in 3 Hours.

This Paper majorly Consists of 6 questions which is divided into 30 sub-parts. Student have to attempt all 6 questions. If we consider Question Paper into 30 sub-parts, then as per our analysis, 15 questions were of EASY and 15 questions were of MODERATE Level. It will get more clear from the below given Chart:

It is an OMR Based Exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 Mark each to be done in 3 Hours. In this paper, there is Negative Marking in the ratio of 1: 4, i.e. deduction of one (1) Mark for Every Four (4) Wrong Answers.

As per our Analysis, 70 Questions were of EASY, 15 Questions were of MODERATE and 15 Questions were of DIFFICULT Level. As All Questions Carry Equal Marks, so there will be only One Chart explaining Question-Wise & Marks-Wise Difficulty Breakup as given below:

INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SECRETARIES OLYMPIAD (ICSO)

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), a Statutory Body of Company Secretaries established an Act of Parliament, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for conducting the CS Olympiad for students of Classes 11 and 12 in each Academic year in schools across India. The first CS Olympiad will be conducted this year (2016) on two dates i.e. 15th September & 4th October, 2016.

BRIEF ABOUT ICSO EXAM

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Students of Classes 11 and 12 from Science, Commerce & Humanities Stream are Eligible to participate in the International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO).
  • There is no other Eligibility Criterion like Minimum Marks.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Students interested in participating in ICSO Exam can participate only through their Respective Schools. Individual Registrations by students will not be accepted.
  • The School should be registered with SOF. Prospectus containing the Registration forms are sent to all schools registered with SOF.
  • Schools not registered with SOF may also request for Prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@sofworld.org /phone call.
  • A minimum of 10 students need to be registered from each school for feasibility reasons.
  • SOF will generate the students’ Roll Numbers as per the guidelines given. The Roll number slips will be sent to the respective schools in soft / hard copy.
  • Each school may select a date for conducting the ICSO as per its convenience.

Company Secretaries Pocket Average Annual Pay of Rs. 50 Lakh : Report

The average annual compensation of Company Secretaries at the top 500 firms listed on the BSE stood at Rs. 50 Lakh even though many of them got less than Rs. 25 lakh, says a report.

The average annual compensation of Company Secretaries at the top 500 firms listed on the BSE stood at Rs. 50 Lakh even though many of them got less than Rs. 25 Lakh, says a report. The findings are based on an analysis of the secretarial audit reports of S&P BSE 500 companies by CimplyFive Corporate Secretarial Services — which provides research and technology based solutions for compliance with the Companies Act, 2013.

“The average annual compensation of Rs. 50 Lakh reflects the increasing importance for compliance among S&P BSE 500 companies. However, this importance accorded is not uniform across all the companies analyzed as reflected in 155 (31 per cent) companies where the CS gets less than Rs. 25 Lakh and another 142 (28 per cent) companies where they earn less than Rs. 50 lakh,” the report said.

Under the Companies Act, 2013, company secretaries have an important role and are recognized as Key Managerial Personnel (KMP). Besides, listing agreement with stock exchanges requires the CS to be designated as the Chief Compliance Officer of listed companies.

“The role of Company Secretary was in many cases combined with the role of general counsel and legal affairs as reflected in 67 (13 per cent) of the designations. In 54 (11 per cent) of cases, the stipulated role of chief compliance officer was reflected in their designations,” the report said.
