EXTRA QUESTIONS ATTEMPTED IN CA EXAMINATIONS

Many Times, It is observed that in CA Examinations, candidates answer more questions or sub parts of a question, than are required in terms of the instructions given in the question paper. Students does so, either to score more marks Or to avoid insecurity of wrong answer being checked and they do so because of unawareness about the consequences of such act i.e. how extra questions attempted will be checked, How the examiner will mark Correct answers amongst All answers, etc.

To avoid Confusion about such cases, ICAI has issued a road map about How the answers will be checked in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examinations if a student attempts more no. of questions than required.

In this connection, it is hereby informed that candidates are required to answer the requisite number of questions as per instructions printed on each question paper. In case any candidate answers extra questions/sub questions over and above the required number, then the requisite number of questions first answered in the answer book shall be valued and subsequent questions answered extra will be ignored.
